International to National: Transferring Leadership within TEAM

As the training workshops have progressed over the last six years, we celebrate the ongoing successful transference of leadership to our Tanzanian team of teachers and facilitators. We rejoice to report that not only have Tanzanians taken over the majority of the teaching roles within TEAM, but that as of June 2007 a team of eight Tanzanian Facilitators assumed the leadership for the remaining workshops. As TEAM’s acting country director, Reverend Captain Canon Dennis Mnyanyi now assumes the support roles that TEAM relies upon and the American support team is happily relegated to a fund-raising and ambassadorial role.

Additionally, TEAM is in the final stages of producing a comprehensive training manual and teacher's guide to serve as a resource for our trainers in the field.
