Those who received training in 2001 went on to train not only those in their parish, but also in their entire community. TEAM's small groups became an invaluable educational resource in the often isolated rural communities. Through their work, the Christians in the Diocese of Mpwapwa began to transform the church's response to HIV/AIDS, and to provide care and counseling through the small group network.
